- T-Mobile provides you with a free text message or email notification reminding you that your bill is almost due.
- Manage your account from your phone. Go to the My Account app on your phone to change this setting.
- Bill cycles and due dates
- New accounts are automatically assigned a bill cycle at the time of activation, typically 1–4 days after activation.
- T-Mobile gives you the option to change the start date of your bill cycle to correspond with paychecks or other bills.
- Contract—Bill Current vs. Bill Arrears
- If your account was established prior to May 20, 2012, the following applies:
- Bill Arrears: Your monthly recurring charges (e.g., rate plan, features and discounts) are billed and due after your bill cycle closes.
- On your close date, you will be billed (e.g., rate plan, features and discounts) for the cycle that has just ended. Your bill is due on your bill due date.
- If your account was established on May 20, 2012, or later, the following applies:
- Bill Current: Your monthly recurring charges (e.g., rate plan, features and discounts) are billed in advance of the start of your bill cycle and are due within that bill cycle.
- On your close date, you will be billed (e.g., rate plan, features and discounts) for the cycle that is just beginning. Your bill is due on your bill due date.

- At T-Mobile, we pride ourselves on our affordable rate plans and devices; however, in order to make sure you’re getting the most for your money, you must have the right rate plan.
- We encourage you to review your usage of minutes, text and data over a few months at my.t-mobile.com to observe your calling patterns. You can do all of this and more directly from your T-Mobile phone.
- Then, compare your usage to your plan. If you find your usage doesn’t closely match your plan, you may want to consider finding a different plan.

- To qualify for an upgrade, you must be on a 2-year contract and meet both of these requirements:
- 22 months since your last upgrade
- On a qualifying rate plan, including:
- $29.99 or greater for a single line
- $49.99 or greater for family or shared line
- You must sign a new 2-year contract each time you upgrade, or you can pay for a new phone at full price and not sign a new contract

for plan in a day. Day is 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., based on time zone associated with your phone number. If
call spans multiple days (e.g., from 11:58 p.m. to 12:05 a.m.), you may be charged the daily rate for each day.
Plan Changes or Renewals: When you switch between plans or renew a monthly plan, features or credits associated
with your prior plan will no longer be available, and you are not able to switch back to some plans. Some plans
will not allow early renewal. General Terms: $10 SIM starter kit may be required. Sufficient balance required
to use service. Domestic use only; additional charges apply for international use. Calls rated on a per-minute
basis. Partial minutes/kilobytes rounded. No data roaming. Some plans include specified data speeds. Where indicated,
